A Spiritual Battle

"So that we would not be outwitted by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his designs" (2 Corinthians 2:11, ESV).
In our post-modern world of science, reason, technology, and human achievement, there is a subtle temptation to forget there is a spiritual reality. Often relegated to the fantasy of novels, TV shows, or movies, we do not seriously consider how spiritual forces are working upon our lives, fighting great battles to draw us closer to God or to destroy us for eternity.
This spiritual war is no less real at home or in a foreign country. Yet we may sometimes be more sensitive to this reality when we are out of our personal comfort zone. The fact is we are involved in a massive battle for souls!
What does this battle look like in Cayman Brac? The devil is seeking to attack our church in various ways, such as:
Creating misunderstanding and division among God’s people
Tempting young Christians with fleshly desires
Discouraging hearts by adversity of various kinds
We are not ignorant of our enemy's designs, for the Holy Spirit gives us both wisdom to perceive spiritual threats and power to overcome.
But we need your prayers:
Pray for Pastor David and Zenia Woods as they lead the church.
Pray for the church to be one in spirit and mind.
Pray for the church to experience spiritual healing.
Pray for the church to become spiritually strong and mature, both in the understanding of doctrine and practice of the faith.
Pray for the church to stand their ground despite the attacks of the enemy and life's adversities.
