Articles of Faith
God is one expressed in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Holy Scriptures are the inspired and reliable revelation of God.
Man is by nature lost in sinfulness and, as such, in need of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
The Holy Spirit indwells Christians as a purifying power, enabling them to live a victorious, holy life. We do not believe the gift of speaking in tongues that do not exist is evidence of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
Christ will remove His Church from the world and return to set up His kingdom on earth.
The second coming of Christ and the destiny of man to eternal joy or eternal punishment after the judgment are real.
Water baptism is an outward sign of an inward work of grace wrought in the heart by the Holy Spirit. This baptism should be practiced by believers according to Jesus' command in the Great Commission. The sacrament of the Lord’s Supper represents our redemption through Jesus Christ and should be observed reverently according to the injunction given to us in I Corinthians 11:24-26.
Scriptures teach marriage is a divine covenant between one man and one woman, representing a lifetime commitment; therefore, we do not support such practices as polygamy, concubines, or cohabitation with anyone outside of marriage. Scriptures specifically prohibit homosexuality, bisexuality, and lesbianism as abominations.
