In the early 1990s, Jere Gowin, then serving as a missionary on the island of Cayman Brac, began reaching out to Cuban refugees that would come ashore there.



Through Jere's ministry to the Cubans, we made a contact in Cuba who continues today to work in the underground church movement.



This contact came some 40 years after Melvin and Irma Poe served on the island of Cuba from 1957-1960, when ill health necessitated their return home. They served faithfully and in sometimes harsh circumstances that the name of Christ might be glorified there.
