Victories at Ebenezer Valley Camp
In July, Director Jim Lo and former director Mark Surbrook traveled to the Eastern Caribbean to speak at Ebenezer Valley Camp, the youth camp in beautiful Virgin Gorda. Highlights for Dr. Jim included an openness from the young people to hear from God, seeing many respond in faith, and praying with (and being prayed for) by a 102-year-old saint of God, Sister Flo. Rev. Philip Gumbs, Eastern Caribbean Overseer, wrote, “Dr. Lo’s preaching was trans-cultural, gentle, passionate,

They were able to pray with and be prayed for by Sis. Flo, a 102-year-old servant of the Lord. The camp services were held under a big yellow and white striped tent. The weather

It is possible more explosions could occur. There were no reports of casualties. We will let you know if we hear reports from Pastor Carl Henry and our brothers and sisters there. Updates from the Eastern Caribbean District
In November, Pastor Stephen Marcel was elected District Overseer for the next two years. The churches participate in Caribbean-wide intercessory prayer the first Sunday of each month. They pray for works in the E. C., Jamaica, Haiti, and the Cayman Islands. This year, the E. C. District Youth Camp turned 30 years old. It could not be held as regularly scheduled, however, but was instead held virtually. These efforts were led by Pastor Gleason Brooks and Pastor Lindon Clarke.

An Anguillan in Bolivia
In the late 1940s, two mission efforts—one in Bolivia and one in the islands of the Eastern Caribbean—were just beginning. In the following years, missionaries arrived, and two church movements were born. Some 70 years later, these two churches, the Church of God (Holiness) Eastern Caribbean and Iglesia Evangelica de Dios Boliviana, are autonomous, vibrant organizations, growing and sharing the gospel. Their vision, prayerfulness, and passion for Christ are a challenge to us
