Last month, Larry traveled some 600 miles from the Doyles’ home in Ukarumpa to Buka Island in Papua New Guinea for two weeks. In Buka he visited the Solos people, whose Bible translation project he helped start and still oversees. There are approximately 15,000 Solos speakers who have never had the Bible translated into their heart language. I have received word that gangs are vandalizing churches in Haiti. One of our own Churches of God (Holiness) was vandalized, ransacked, and everything that was inside, stolen. Friday, June 6, was Missions Day at General Camp of the Churches of God (Holiness). In the World Missions portion of the morning service, Dr. Jim was joined onstage with reports from Board members Dwight Purtle and Paul Confer.
