Ministry in Ukraine

Download the May issue of The Harvest Times.

God continues to move in Ukraine! In March, we received a report from Vladimir Degtyaryov, the president of Zaporozhye Bible College and Seminary.

Although there is continued fighting in eastern Ukraine, centrally-located Zaporozhye remains safe. In fact, the local churches are being the hands and feet of Jesus, reaching out to displaced people who have fled from the violence.

For 10 days in April, the students of ZBCS planned to attend the “school of life,” putting into practice their training by witnessing in local villages. Other outreach programs are planned during the summer, in June and July.

The students and graduates of ZBCS are making a difference in Ukraine. President Degtyaryov wrote of the influence the Church is having in this critical time: “The believers have taken a signal, energetic role in organizing and supporting works of mercy, in honorable cooperation with civic agencies, to relieve the suffering of Ukrainians in the war zone.”

Thank you to those of you who have supported the Snider Scholarship Fund, in honor of missionaries Gordon and Nancy Snider and their service at ZBCS from 1996-2011. Through this scholarship, each year we assist a worthy student or students as they seek training for ministry.

Thank you also for your continued prayers for ZBCS.

Maria and Anna are two of the ZBCS students who have benefited from the Snider Scholarship Fund.
