The Honorable Juliana Yvonne O’Connor-Connolly assumed the role of Premier of the Cayman Islands last November, which is the head of government, a position similar to a prime minister. However, to many of our church people in Cayman Brac and Grand Cayman, she is known as Sis. Juliana, a faithful church member and leader who assists with preaching as needed. Highlights from Cayman Brac
We are grateful for the continued leadership of Gayle and Micki Woods as pastor in Cayman Brac. Some recent highlights include: Dr. Woods baptized a new convert on the first Sunday in January. The young man, Sebastian Brown, was saved during a Sunday school class at Watering Place. The baptismal service was held at the high school swimming pool, and members from both churches attended. Remembering Sharon Mauck
Sharon Mauck served in Jamaica from 1969-1983, alongside her husband, Ray, and her daughter, Amber. Together, Ray and Sharon worked with Venture High School and also with the youth of the churches. Upon returning to the U.S., Ray and Sharon served as children’s pastors for more than 30 years, and she was also an active supporter of Fort Scott Christian Heights. Sharon passed to her heavenly reward on January 31, 2024. We are grateful for Sharon’s life devoted to Kingdom work,
