Dr. Jim and Board member Dwight Purtle are traveling to Jamaica, December 10-15. Pastor Philip Gumbs will meet them there. Pastor Gumbs and Dr. Jim will be teaching and preaching as a part of the church’s annual conference. While there, they will be working out the best way to get hurricane relief funds to them. Dr. Jim asks for prayer for this trip. Please also continue to pray for the Jamaicans affected by Hurricane Melissa.

Our World Missions Department has informed us that in this past quarter, we have been short of our budget by about $2,500 per month. This is obviously not sustainable, and we have about eight months to go until our planned furlough in June. Part of this is a recent increase in our budget to account for inflation in recent years, but also giving has decreased as we near the end of this field term. Kala gave yams to Pastor George. When Director George Korah wanted to visit with one of the church leaders in Montigu, he found him in his field. Kala had been harvesting yams with the help of Pastor Isaac. Yams are a staple food among villagers that they pound into fufu . Kala was delighted to have Pastor George visit him, and they ate fufu together. Then, he gave from his yam crop to Pastor George, so much that he could hardly carry them on his motorcycle. “I am not a wealt
