Never a Dull Moment

One thing about serving God is that there is never a dull moment, as proven true once again recently in the month of February.
Our weekly services journeyed through 1 Corinthians, Mark, and Haggai. Each week a group also met to view a portion of “The Chosen” video series and then have a meaningful time of discussion afterwards. The kids of the church met on another night for a Kid’s Christian Video Night, followed by a lesson and refreshments.
It was with joy that I was able to dedicate babies on two different occasions. As often happens, one event in ministry linked to another. One of the couples present asked for marriage counseling, and it was my privilege to meet with them and discuss their desire to strengthen their Christian home.
In addition to two baby dedications, I also performed two funerals this month. One funeral was for a man that I led to the Lord just a month before. The second funeral was a small graveside funeral of an unsaved lady. It is times like these that our heart aches for those who are bound in sin.
I counseled a young man who was having suicidal thoughts and discovered that the root of his difficulty was a spiritual matter. I was pleased that he was eager to get right with God as I helped him work through the problems which were pushing him toward ending his life. God is good!
From these accounts it might appear that I alone am involved in ministry here. That is not the case. My wife, Micki, also is ministering in her own unique way. She encourages various ladies in t church, volunteering to help with their projects and work around the church, and taking different ladies out to eat so that she can have individual time with them to give them spiritual guidance. I am blessed to be matched with such a wonderful helpmate.
So goes life in the Brac. We enjoy the opportunities that God gives us to make a difference in the lives of the people here. We realize that without your prayer support we would be weakened in our efforts. We depend on you and are grateful for the realization that you hold our hands up in prayer.
