A Ghanaian villager recently came to Christ. He shared his testimony with Pastor George Korah. His name and picture will not be published due to security reasons.

Praise the Lord, Church! I want to testify to the goodness of God in my life.
I was born and raised in a Muslim family in the remote area of Wa, East District of the Upper West Region, Ghana. From childhood, I was taught to follow the traditions of Islam, and I was very devoted. I am 40 years old now. I never thought one day I would be doing something with Christianity, not to mention calling Jesus my Lord and Savior. I was convinced that Christians are not good and that they are enemies to Islam. But God had a plan for me.
One day, a friend (Pastor George) who had been talking to me about Jesus, gave me a Christian book (God’s Call to Holiness) by Rev. Jim Lo. Out of curiosity, I began to read. At first, I just wanted to understand what Christians believe so that I could argue against it because I have a series of arguments with George any time he visits the village for evangelism. But as I read, the words in the book began to touch my heart.
I saw in that book that Jesus is not only a prophet, but the Son of God who came to save the world from sin. The part that struck me deeply was when I read about His love, His holiness, and how He offers eternal life freely to all who believe in Him. I could not resist that love.
For many nights, I could not sleep because the Spirit was speaking to me. Finally, I prayed and asked Jesus to reveal Himself to me. I felt a peace I had never known before. From that day, I gave my life to Christ. And I would like to evangelize and recommend that book to a lot of my Muslim friends. The book contains all that one needs to know about God.
But it has not been easy. Some of my family members are having issues with me, threatening to reject me, and I face many challenges. But I can boldly say that Jesus is worth it all. He has given me joy, forgiveness, and the assurance of eternal life. Today, I am no longer bound by fear, but I live in the freedom of Christ.
I encourage anyone who is seeking truth to open their heart and read the Word of God, especially God’s Call to Holiness. Jesus is alive, and He still changes lives. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.
