New Bible Translation Team Members!

Graduation from the Translators’ Training Course 1 (TTC1) for eight new Solos translators on 03 July was a time of celebration and praise to God. They join the three active and one semi-retired translators to form the new and improved Solos Translation Team.

This journey started several years ago with a request to form a new team, and the actual course started last year in August, and has since spanned three different villages. The final two weeks were held in Kahule village, where we again had outstanding community and church support (Catholic in this village) as the participants from three different villages stayed with local families, and the village ladies provided food each day.

Now this group has split up into three smaller teams to work on about 10 chapters each in Genesis to gain experience in their newly acquired translation methods before moving on to the New Testament. Each new team also has one of the experienced translators, so that should help. Pray for them as they work on these passages in the coming months.
