The Gowins: Non-Residential Missionaries

Jere and Ruth Ann Gowin, former missionaries to both Cayman Brac and Ghana, have been accepted as World Missions' first non-residential missionaries.
A non-residential missionary assists Kingdom growth in another country by giving 2-3 weeks at least 2 times a year to live overseas.
Non-residential missionaries are similar to residential/career missionaries in the way that they work to learn the local culture and seek to train and mentor believers. They also raise funds for their ministry expenses.
This strategy works best where a nucleus of believers already exists (such as Ghana) or where residential/career missionaries are not welcome.
We are excited to see how God will use Jere and Ruth Ann in partnership with Pastor George in Ghana!
