In fact, when missionary Jere Gowin first went to the village leaders in 2010 to ask permission to minister, he was told, in effect, “No, thanks. On Sunday, August 20, Bro. Carlson Benjamin was installed as the new senior pastor of the Red Bay Church of God (Holiness) in Grand Cayman. For the last two years, Pastor Benjamin has been involved in ministry at Red Bay on a part-time basis. Rev. From July 10 -14 we had Vacation Bible School at the Spot Bay church. The theme was “Jerusalem Marketplace.” We had up to 65 kids on a given night, although the total number was more than that since the attendance varied from night to night. It was a good time of ministering to the young people, and we pray that the message of the gospel found a place in their heart that will lead them to a life serving Jesus. At the beginning of August we had hoped to be sending out a “leaving for Papua New Guinea” newsletter. When we got news that the final approval for our visas had come through, despite issues and delays in Port Moresby, we anticipated that we would have our passports back with visas in them within a week or two. So we bought tickets for August 30, and made all the travel arrangements for getting back to our home in PNG. Now it looks like all that might have to be adjusted. Tec
