Annual Harvest Offering November 2024
Building the Kingdom of God around the world can look like many things. Most often we may think of preaching and teaching, and those are certainly involved. However, building the Kingdom of God can also include small, tangible steps that support the preaching and teaching of the Word. For this year’s Annual Harvest Offering, we invite you to invest in specific projects—building blocks—to support the work of God in Myanmar and Papua New Guinea. The construction of a new buildi

Focus Week: October 21-27
As the Director of World Missions for the Churches of God (Holiness) for over two months now, I would like to share my vision for what I believe the Holy Spirit has in store for the future of COGH World Missions. My vision is to see: An increased enthusiasm for souls to be saved; More missionary couples and individuals from our churches accepting God’s call; and An increase in giving—both in dollars and in numbers of churches within our association who participate. Remembering Bill Hayton
On August 7, 2024, World Missions lost a dear friend when former missionary and former director, Bill Hayton, went to be with the Lord. In later years, he also served as a board member. Bill was loved by many. His entire life was devoted to ministry and serving in the Kingdom of God. He will be missed. At the funeral,

Annual Harvest Offering 2023
Each fall we bring to you an appeal for the Annual Harvest Offering for World Missions. This year, we are excited to tell you about two projects that are worthy of your support. Since the first graduating class in 2004, Shiloh Bible College in Myanmar has trained many church planters and Christian workers. However, the Bible college has always met in rented facilities. This year they have begun new construction—their own building on their own land. The plan is to build four f

The News the Shepherds Heard
Do you ever find the joy of the holiday season doesn’t seem to match what is really going on? Bolivia is in turmoil; crime is up, and people are being assaulted in the streets. The Myanmar military has taken over their government, affecting every area of life, including public schools and banks. Citizens and soldiers clash. In Haiti, a two-month fuel blockade has been followed by a spike in cholera cases. Violence and gang activity persist. Russia continues attacking Ukraine;

Making His Name Known: Annual Harvest Offering 2022
Through the Bible, we learn that the names of God reveal His character and promises to us. Which name is your favorite? He is the Good Shepherd, the Almighty God, our Redeemer, and Comforter. He is our Refuge, Prince of Peace, and Savior. He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Amen. The heartbeat of World Missions is to make His name known among the nations. We want those who do not know to hear His name. We want those who have heard to understand. We want those who ser

Counting Our Blessings and Blessing Others: Annual Harvest Offering 2021
The month of November is now upon us, at which time our attention naturally turns to counting our blessings. In spite of many ills and troubles in our lives at times, we all have much for which to be thankful. Some people post their gratitude on social media every day in the month of November. Others speak their thanks around the table at Thanksgiving. Still others are no doubt reminded to include more gratitude in their prayers during this season. The month of November is al

Support for Missionaries in Transition
We are so grateful to many churches and individuals who send in regular support (annually, quarterly, or monthly) for the ministry of our missionaries. You make their work possible! But what happens when missionaries return to the U.S.? Does their support continue? When missionaries return home for furlough, or home assignment, their support does continue until they return to the mission field. This time allows them to rest, reconnect with family, and reconnect with their do
