A choir, dressed in matching red and white outfits, performed. Candidates in white walked down to meet three elders in the baptismal to illustrate their choice to follow Christ. Precious Christians raised their hands in worship to God as the congregation at Delmas 6 celebrated His goodness over the last 18 years.

These are just a few glimpses of the final Sunday in January, following a week of special services to celebrate the 18th anniversary of our headquarters church in their current building in Port-au-Prince.

Pastor Samson, the national director, wrote that, beginning the previous Sunday, some 250 people met for services each day. About 30 candidates were baptized on January 27.

The story of our Haitian brothers and sisters at the Delmas 6 church is one of victory. They have remained faithful in spite of hardship and even the terrible earthquake of 2010. They have proven true God’s Word in Psalm 46:1-2— “God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea.”

Praise God for His continued blessings in Haiti!

  • Our ministry in Haiti consists of 13 churches and six schools and is led by Jeudilus Noel (Pastor Samson).

  • Our total church membership is about 1500, and the total number of students in our schools is 929.

  • The Foodbank program provides a meal for the students at three of our schools. Pastor Samson is planning, with God’s help, to extend this program to two additional locations in 2013.
