Prayers Needed for Haiti
The country of Haiti, and in particular the city of Port-au-Prince, is suffering under the heavy hand of gang rule. The Haitian Prime Minister has stepped down, and there is no permanent government in place.
We have three churches in Port-au-Prince--Delmas 6, Delmas 32, and Boston Cite. Unfortunately, Boston Cite which was in an unsafe neighborhood for years, has had to close. Their pastor died 2-3 years ago, and now his son was recently shot and is in the hospital.
Delmas 6, the mother church, has faced hardship. Members were meeting at 5:00 a.m. on Sundays to avoid violence, but the past two weeks it has also been closed. Buildings in the neighborhood have been burned out.
Delmas 32, which had seen an increase in numbers in recent months, is now also seeing violence. Many buildings in its neighborhood have been destroyed.
But, even more concerning is that food and water are scarce. Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Haiti at this time.
